AirDye® Saves:

WATER Synthetic textile-dyeing consumes 2.4 trillion gallons of water a year, enough to fill 3,700,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools. AirDye reduces water use up to 95 percent.**
energy Our one-step process cuts the energy consumption of dyeing by up to 86 percent.** That's more than 2.8 trillion megajoules per year — enough to power more than 12 percent of the homes in the United States for a year.
greenhouse gases Textile dyeing produces over 568 million metric tons of greenhouse gases (GHG) annually, more than the emissions of 94 million passenger vehicles — that’s 75 percent of the registered passenger vehicles in the United States. AirDye reduces green houses gases up to 84 percent.**
time Traditionally, custom colors or prints require weeks of development, color testing, production and shipping. Our customers are able to print one yard, 100 yards, or 10,000 yards of fabric, using their own colors and prints — all in a fraction of the time required for a conventional custom dye order.
money Most developed countries require manufacturers to “reclaim” their used water after dyeing. This process of extracting dyes and harmful chemicals to make water “industrial” (ie: reusable for industry, but still non-potable) often costs two to three times as much as the actual printing process — an expense that has put many American mills out of business already. AirDye’s no water, no pollution process means no costly reclaiming.
